Geoff is the Sales Representative for Fire Glass South, he is our longest serving Sales Representative having been with the company since the south branch opened, over ten years ago. Geoff is a trusting and knowledgeable member of our team.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY AT FIRE GLASS LIKE FOR YOU?
Early start is the order of the day, with a long drive ahead. Often you are answering calls whilst on the way as FGS customers are also up early?
Once at Branch it's straight into your outlook at review emails received from the previous day, Load G-Track and away we go. The day often flies by and to use a phrase from a colleague 'Stop the Clock'. Customers are soon on the phone and my question is what do you need, when do you want it and where would you like it delivered? Then we say send the order the answer is yes! At the end of the day, we review ready to start again tomorrow.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
Every day is different and Customers are a joy to speak with as many always have a story. You can get so much satisfaction when you have helped a customer and they put the phone down with a smile as their questions have been answered. The Fire Glass team all strive for the same direction, which helps makes the boat go faster.
WHAT PARTS OF YOUR JOB DO YOU FIND MOST CHALLENGING?
Some days it is quite simple; reach your daily targets and goals. The days go so quickly.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO IS SEEKING THE SAME LINE OF WORK?
Set your goals and work as a team. Make sure you do your part to help others achieve their goals and most of all keep walking and smiling.
WHAT DO YOU DO OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I have a young child and enjoy my spending my time with her and my wife. I'm still involved with youth football which I actively enjoy 17 years on.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE BAND/ALBUM?
Nothing in particular as I enjoy a varied choice of music.
