After nine years based at their present location, Fire Glass South has moved to new premises in Colchester, Essex.

The new, larger factory at Altbarn Close and the investment of new machinery, including an RBB Vertical Cutting Saw capable of cutting glass up to 75mm thick, a 13 spindle Adelio Lattuada straight line polishing machine able to polish glass up to 55mm in thickness, a new Intermac Genius laminate glass cutting table and a Kone overhead crane which will run the full length of the factory and has a lifting capacity of 3.5 tonnes, will mean that Fire Glass South will be able to increase it’s in house processing capabilities by 100% and place the branch in a position to become the leading supplier of fire-rated glass in London and the South East.
