Sharon Carter, Human Resources Manager and Sam Hawthorne, Operations Manager recently presented a cheque for £500 on behalf of Fire Glass UK to the Hamstead Over 60’s Club, run by Sam’s mum Janet and her friend Roseanne.

The group doesn’t receive any Government funding relies solely on donations to keep going. Most of the group’s attendees are widows, and it provides some much-needed support within a friendly environment.

Every Tuesday afternoon for two hours, the group meets to play bingo, have raffles, drink coffee, eat cake and have a natter. To some, it is their only social outing for the week.

Thanks to the team at Fire Glass UK, this donation will be a fantastic help to them and help them continue to do what they love doing.
