Lisa Managan, Administrative Assistant at Fire Glass UK, is taking part in a charity walkathon for World Animal Protection. Lisa has committed to walking 75km throughout the month of May, she has already started her first walk on Saturday 7th May and will continue walking until Saturday 6th June.

Lisa Said “I am extremely passionate about the welfare of animals as I have had pets since I was a child, ranging from dogs, cats, hamsters, fish and rabbits. I have supported many animal rescue centres and charities for a few years that is why I have decided to help raise funds for Animal Protection.

The charity supports a range of causes from rescuing bears from bear vile farms, saving dogs and cats from meat farms in China and Korea to helping local wildlife in the UK. Their current campaign is helping to save dolphins by freeing them from captivity. 

Animal Protection usually do a charity marathon each year, however because of covid-19, this year they have asked people to support them by Walking 75km from the 7th of May until the 7th of June. 

These walks can be done anywhere and at any time, to date, I have complete six walks amounting to 16.41km, (trying to avoid the rain of course!)”.
