Building on this spirit of recognition, the Employee of the Month Awards for December 2025 to February 2026 highlight the remarkable individuals across our North, Scotland, Midlands, West, and Head Office teams who truly exemplify what Fire Glass stands for. Their commitment to excellence, outstanding customer service, and unwavering support for their colleagues have made a meaningful and lasting impact on our business.

Gary Young – Fire Glass North
Gary Young has consistently demonstrated outstanding dedication well beyond his expected responsibilities. As a driver at Fire Glass North in Manchester, Gary has shown exceptional teamwork by prioritising the needs of fellow drivers and supporting operations whenever required. Most notably, Gary took the initiative to mentor and train new starters without any instruction from management, ensuring they felt confident, safe, and well-prepared in their roles. His leadership, initiative, and selflessness exemplify the values we strive to uphold.

George Platt – Fire Glass North
George Platt is another highly trusted and experienced driver at Fire Glass North who continually goes above and beyond. George’s reliability, professionalism, and positive attitude make him a key member of the team. His willingness to support colleagues, maintain high safety standards, and deliver excellent service to customers reflects his strong work ethic and loyalty to the company.

Alan Patterson – Fire Glass Scotland
Alan Patterson has distinguished himself through outstanding customer service and professionalism. As a driver at Fire Glass Scotland, Alan consistently receives fantastic compliments from customers across multiple sites. His friendly approach, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering on time and with care have strengthened customer relationships and enhanced Fire Glass’s reputation.

John Matear – Fire Glass Scotland
John’s punctuality, reliability, and exemplary character set a standard for others to follow. As a valued driver at Fire Glass Scotland, John has proven himself to be a treasured member of staff. His professionalism, consistency, and respectful approach to colleagues and customers make him a role model within the team.

Andrew Garrity – Fire Glass Scotland
Andrew Garrity, a Sales Representative at Fire Glass Scotland, has demonstrated a consistently positive attitude and strong customer focus. In particular, during December 2025, Andrew received multiple commendations from customers who praised his professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to excellent service. His contribution has strengthened client relationships and reflects the high standards Fire Glass is known for.

Sarah Percival – Fire Glass Midlands
Sarah Percival, an Administrative Assistant at Fire Glass Midlands, since joining our team 6 months ago has quickly proven to be productive and valuable member of our team. She is quick to follow up on urgent requests, can process orders quickly and accurately and is genuinely passionate about her work.

Asha Kumar – Fire Glass Midlands
Asha Kumar, an Administrative Assistant at Fire Glass Midlands, has been a pleasure to work with. Upon joining our team 7 months ago, she has quickly learned to enter orders accurately, responds promptly to all enquiries, and genuinely brings bright, positive energy to the office.

Ashok Bhandari – Fire Glass South
Ashok Bhandari, a Sales Estimator has truly become a vital part of Fire Glass South. His communication with the branch is clear and effective, and his positive attitude and enthusiasm for the job are inspiring to everyone around him. While he is still learning, Ashok shows a strong eagerness to grow his knowledge and skills, never hesitating to ask questions to improve and get things right.
He consistently goes beyond the expectations of his role by supporting the team whenever needed. Ashok’s dedication, willingness to learn, and proactive approach have made a significant and positive impact on the branch. He is developing into a highly valued member of the team, and his ongoing progress and commitment deserve recognition and celebration.

Richard Povey – Fire Glass Midlands
Richard Povey, a Glass Operative at Fire Glass Midlands, has made progress in performance since joining the team. His daily production achievement has not gone unnoticed, regularly smashing past expectations. His desire to keep performing is evident, with a continual urge to do more. Richard has only been here a few months, initially to run the XY table comfortably in the evening. The most recent move to the saw highlighted the qualities he has, as branch are currently struggling in this area due to absences and leavers, Richard jumped at the chance to help us all achieve our goal by running this machine. I am certain Richard will continue to develop and learn many more cutting skills/ machines and have a very bright future with Fire Glass Ltd. It is a pleasure to have Richard on the team.

Simon Purnell – Fire Glass West 
Simon Purnell, a Glass Operative at Fire Glass West, has played a huge role in production, managing both the table and saw work, and consistently supporting the whole team. Massive appreciation to Simon who has worked absolute tirelessly to work between the saw and table as we only have him as a cutter. Working between two machines on his own and delivering a two-man job and digging as a whole.  

Rebecca Adams – Fire Glass Head Office
Rebecca Adams has been nominated for her exceptional contribution in taking on the payroll function alongside her existing substantive Account role. Despite the significant responsibility and the crucial nature of payroll, she managed the entire process with remarkable professionalism, accuracy, and composure. From day one, Rebecca demonstrated a deep sense of ownership and commitment.
By delivering a flawless payroll cycle while still performing her core role. Rebecca not only safeguarded the employee experience but also provided stability and reassurance during a period of transition. Her efforts ensured business continuity, protected compliance, and reflected a level of dedication that goes well beyond expectations. Rebecca’s contribution has had a meaningful positive impact on the company and its people. Her reliability, attention to detail, and calm, solution-focused approach makes her an outstanding asset to the organisation and fully deserving of recognition.

She ensured payroll ran smoothly and on time, with no disruptions to employees or the wider business. All queries many of which were complex and time-sensitive were handled promptly, clearly, and efficiently. Her ability to resolve issues proactively meant employees-maintained confidence that their pay was being managed with care and precision.

We are proud to recognise Gary, George, Alan, John, Andrew, Sarah, Asha, Ashok, Richard, Simon and Rebecca for their outstanding contributions. Their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to excellence reflect the very best of Fire Glass values.
