Samantha Hawthorne
Operations Director, Southern Region
Sam has been promoted to Operations Director for the Southern Region, following a remarkable journey with Fire Glass that began in August 2016 as an administrative assistant. Quickly demonstrating reliability, organisational skill, and a readiness to take on responsibility, Samantha was promoted to branch manager in February 2017, where she built a high-performing, supportive team while maintaining consistently strong operational standards.
In March 2020, Samantha became Operations Manager for the Southern Region. Since then, she has handled complex operational challenges with a calm, solutions-focused approach, balancing the needs of her team with business objectives. Known for her visibility, hands-on support, and transparent leadership style, Samantha has strengthened communication across branches and enhanced regional consistency.
“I am really proud of how far we’ve come as a business over the years. Fire Glass has given me so many opportunities to grow, and I’m excited to step into this new role and keep building on what we’ve achieved together,” said Samantha.

Jonathon Booth
European Operations Director
Jonathon has been appointed European Operations Director, reflecting more than a decade of dedicated service and proven leadership. Jonathon joined Fire Glass in September 2012 as a branch manager, quickly establishing himself as a dependable, results-driven leader. Promoted to Operations Manager in October 2019, he strengthened operational efficiency, mentored colleagues, and supported the wider management team.
Jonathon’s calm, emotionally intelligent approach and data-driven decision-making have contributed significantly to Fire Glass’ success. His appointment as European Operations Director highlights his ability to align operations with long-term strategic goals, manage budgets, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver end-to-end operational ownership.

Andrew Hornigold
Northern Operations Manager
Andrew has been promoted to Northern Operations Manager, recognising his strong performance and leadership capabilities across the northern region. Joining Fire Glass in June 2019 as branch manager, Andrew quickly became known for disciplined operational management and a commitment to continuous improvement. His leadership elevated branch performance, streamlined processes, improved stock control, and consistently exceeded KPI targets.

From starting in 2019 to growing into the role of Branch Manager, and now taking this next step, it’s been an incredible journey of learning, challenges, and progress. Roxana Dumitrascu
Branch Manager, Fire Glass North
Roxana has been promoted to Branch Manager of Fire Glass North. Roxana first joined the company in March 2017 as an Administrative Assistant, gaining valuable experience before leaving in December 2022. She rejoined in June 2023 as Deputy Branch Manager and quickly demonstrated her effectiveness and commitment, leading to her current promotion.
Alongside her role, Roxana is undertaking a Level 5 Management Apprenticeship, which is enhancing her knowledge of modern management practices, leadership styles, conflict resolution, team development, and performance management.
“I am grateful for the trust placed in me and firmly believe that success is built on strong teams. I look forward to working together to achieve even greater results,” said Roxana.
