David Finlay joined Fire Glass Scotland in early 2021 to take charge of the Hand-cut and Bottero area, bringing with him an impressive 22 years of industry experience gained at Pilkington Cumbernauld, later known as Glass Systems Scotland.

From day one, Davie’s experience, work ethic, and no-nonsense approach to getting the job done stood out. If something needed doing, it got done – no drama, no excuses.

It didn’t take long for him to step up into a Supervisor role as soon as the opportunity came up, where he has played a key part in driving our consistently outstanding Quality and OTIF results year after year.

It was fitting that his 5-year service award was presented by Production Manager William Mutch, the very person who originally referred him to Fire Glass Scotland.
