A career move brings new surroundings, new colleagues and new challenges – but sometimes a familiar detail catches your eye.

That was the case for our former SHEQ Officer, Tom Flight, who recently took up a new role as Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Manager in West Bromwich.

While settling into his new workplace, Tom spotted some Pyrostem wired glass, processed by Fire Glass in an office fire door and got in touch to share his discovery for our Spot Our Glass series.

“It’s funny how small the world can be, I spotted some Pyrostem in a fire door in my new office and thought I’d share for a spot our glass post.“

With his background in safety, health, environment and quality, it’s perhaps no surprise that Tom’s eye for detail has followed him into his new role. And it seems his time at Fire Glass has left a lasting impression – a familiar glazing product is still enough to make him think of the team.

Thank you to Tom for sharing his find. We wish him every success in his new position and are pleased to see that, even after moving on, he’s still keeping an eye out for glass!
